A very well known and respected figure in the music scenario of the area, Ramavtar ji has many albums to his credit. Having studied music from the Prayag Sangeet Samiti in Allahabad, he has been a professional singer for many years now. He has done countless performances on All India Radio, Doordarshan, special programs and has been awarded the Saraswat Samman by the Guru Narsinhanand Gyanpeet in Ujjain. His style is simple and appealing and incoroporates a wide range of the folk music sung by both men and women of the land of Malwa.
