| Rashmi Agarwal received her initial training in music from Smt. Kamala Bose.
Later she did her Masters in vocal music from Allahabad University under
the able guidance of Pt. Ramashray Jha. Finally, she studied under Smt.
Savita Devi, the illustrious daughter of Smt. Siddheshwari Devi of Benaras
Gharana. Under her guidance she learnt and imbibed the stylistic techniques
of Thumri, Dadra, Chaiti, Kajri and Hori. An imaginative and creation
artiste - Rashmi is open to experimentation and creation. This urge for
creativity - to do something new led her towards experimenting with the
rustic folk songs of Uttar Pradesh. In her recent concerts she worked
on new themes to bring the music of classical and folk genres closer.
She keeps performing regularly on All India Radio and television. She
has also concerts all over India,
